While we have not said much up to this point because it was not our story to tell, we would be amiss if we didn't say something. 7:30 AM on May 31st, 2019 marks the end of a chapter in the Fire District's history. Scott Cantrell has officially stepped down from his position as Captain with PVFD. While we are very happy for Scott, we are also sad to see him leave. He is one of only a couple members that have been here from the beginning and his leadership, guidance and personality will be greatly missed. He has truly been the face of the organization for years and his absence will be a great loss for the department.
From a personal standpoint, we know that Captain Cantrell has made a decision that is best for him, his family, and his career. We wish him luck in his new journey with the Washington Township Fire Department, but we also want him to know that he will always be part of the Pleasant Valley Family!
Congratulations Scott...We are very happy for you, Charma, Macy & Dylan!
